Issue 11 is now available for pre-order. Those who can afford to further support our work may consider subscribing to Channel to receive each new issue upon its release, or becoming a patron to also receive access to our digital archive of back issues as well as acknowledgement in print and online. 

In-Person Launch at Chapters Bookstore


We’re delighted to say that the in-person launch of Channel Issue 11 will take place in Chapters Bookstore, Parnell Street, on Friday 22 November from 6.30pm–8.30pm.

Attendance is free, with no registration required, and all are very welcome to join us.

The evening will feature readings from Diarmuid Cawley, Brendan MacEvilly, Keev Ó Baoill and David Ralph, along with some tunes from our musical guests, We’re Not Together.

Our Readers & Performers

Diarmuid Cawley is from Sligo, Ireland. His poems have featured in The MartelloThe Belfast ReviewTrasnaSmashing TimesUnapologetic MagMoonstone PressGuzzle MagazineThe Honest Ulsterman, Poetry as CommemorationChannel and Howl. He is working on his first collection.

Ellen Harrold (She/Her) is an Irish artist and writer as well as editor-in- chief of Metachrosis Literary. She uses drawing, text, and textiles to explore physics, anatomy, and ecology through creative abstraction. She has published poetry in English and Irish in magazines such as Shearsman, Causeway / Cabhsair, and Skylight 47.

Brendan Mac Evilly

Brendan Mac Evilly is the author of At Swim: A Book About the Sea (2016, Collins Press). He runs Holy Show arts magazine and production house, and runs the National Mentoring Programme on behalf of the Irish Writers Centre. Keev (Boyle-Darby) Ó Baoill (they/he) is a trans, Irish poet and writer. His upcoming chapbook the end of the fucking world / shitty airport poems is due to be published by Back Room Poetry in November 2024. Keev is Co-founder of tinycrowdcollective (@tinycrowdzine), a queer, trans-led zine looking to capture moments of intensity, banality, and everything in between. Their work has been published by Channel, Gnashing Teeth, Vernacular Journal, Back Room Poetry, Powders Press, SEXTANT, GCN, The Places Zine and Ache Magazine among others. David Ralph

David Ralph’s work has been published in The Dublin Review, Banshee, Southword, Litro, Fish, and New Irish Writing. He won a New Irish Writing Award in 2020. In 2021 he was a recipient of a place on the Words Ireland National Mentoring Programme. In 2022 he placed third in the Fish Memoir Prize.

We're Not Together

Aoife Moore and Kevin Burke are a folk music duo from Dunshaughlin Co.Meath, and now neighbours in Dublin 7.

They release their music under the band name We’re Not Together, with their debut EP released in October 2023. They followed up with the single ‘Miles Away’ in May of this year.

Online Launch via YouTube Premiere

We continue to offer a digital launch for each issue in celebration of the broad community of Channel readers and contributors unable to join us for an in-person event in Dublin.

This issue’s online launch will take place via YouTube Premiere on Thursday 21 November, starting at 7.00pm. It will feature readings from local and international contributors, along with photography showcasing the environments that have inspired their work.

Also featured will be photo and video content by our Issue 11 cover artist, Manal Mahamid, from her multidisciplinary project The Palestinian Gazelle.
